Sabre Corp acquires LCC tech provider Radixx
Sabre Corp has acquired an Orlando-based technology provider with a large presence in the low cost carrier market.
Radixx International Inc. offers cloud-based airline solutions with a travel e-commerce platform for LCCs across Europe, South America, Asia Pacific and Africa.
The acquisition of Radixx was completed with cash on hand of about $110 million.
Sabre will operate Radixx as a standalone subsidiary within its Airline Solutions business.
"This acquisition will result in a better alternative for low cost carriers that might have otherwise felt their PSS and other technology options were limited," said Sean Menke, chief executive officer of Sabre.
"This acquisition also allows Sabre to quickly expand its footprint both geographically and in terms of scope of service with an important and rapidly growing segment."
Radixx is expected to bring in about $20 million in revenue this year.
John Elieson, CEO, Radixx said: "Sabre will have an immediate positive impact on our existing customers and allow us to serve airlines previously beyond our reach."
