Sabre Corp has named Daver Ka Fai as North Asia regional director for Sabre Travel Network.
Taiwan based, he has overall responsibility for the China, Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan markets and reports to sales and market development vice president Todd Arthur.
He will lead relationship development and business expansion in the region.
"Daver brings to the table extensive experience in the GDS business and a deep-rooted understanding of how technology can most effectively impact the travel industry. This, and his knowledge of the market nuances in this region, positions him well to drive our North Asia operations into the next phase of APAC growth that Sabre is entering," said Roshan Mendis, senior vice president for Sabre Travel Network Asia Pacific.
He was previously general manager at Amadeus Taiwan and has held management positions during a 19-year career in Asia Pacific.
Daver is also president of Skal International Taiwan.
