PRESS RELEASE

SABS SYSTEM NOW AVAILABLE
WITHIN THE FAREBASE PORTAL

Travel Portal specialists, Farebase.co.uk, have signed an agreement which will enable Farebase Portal subscribers to access the Ramesys Search and Booking System (SABS).

Agents can now use the portal to search availability for charter flights and package holidays. When a successful search has been made the agent can then automatically make the booking online.

In addition, they will also gain full access to Viewdata from within the Farebase Portal, enabling agents to book with any tour operator where they have the necessary Viewdata passwords.

Managing Director, Jon Constantine; commented “Agents can of course already book consolidated and published scheduled flights from within the Portal. This enhancement adds yet another piece of the jigsaw. Agents can now search the full range of flights and holidays available from consolidators and tour operators from a single website. We are very aware that time is money and our business proposition is to give agents access to the very best tools on the market to enable them to significantly reduce search times and accurately match customers’ requirements with actual availability.

Our next step will be to integrate scheduled and charter availability into a single screen to reduce search times even more”.

The SABS system is available to all Farebase portal subscribers as an add-on to their existing agreements.

Brian Sheerin, Commercial Director of Ramesys added: “Ramesys and Farebase are the UK’s leading Travel System suppliers and highly regarded throughout the travel industry. By combining our products in this way, we are able to simplify the buying process for travel agents and ensure that they have fast access to the best products on the market at affordable rates”.

Farebase is also in advanced discussions to add low cost carrier flights into the Portal.
Jon Constantine went on to add; “Regardless of route or carrier, agents will be able to use the Portal to gain fast access to the latest fares and availability from a single source. All this information will be available to them with just a few clicks of their mouse”.
