SalamAir takes flight to Nairobi

Oman LCC, SalamAir has completed its inaugural flight from Muscat to Nairobi.

It marks a milestone in SalamAir’s expansion into Africa, offering travellers more opportunities to connect between Oman and Kenya.

The inaugural event at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi was attended by various dignatories including Mohamed Daghar, Ministry of Roads and Transport and Nasra Salim Mohamed Al Hashmi, the Omani Ambassador to Kenya.

Adrian Hamilton-Manns, CEO of SalamAir, said, “We are thrilled to expand our network to Nairobi. This new route supports our vision to connect Oman to key global destinations, strengthening economic and cultural ties.”

Nairobi is the first of several destinations SalamAir aims to introduce across East Africa, Hamilton-Manns  said.

Nasra Salim Mohamed Al Hashmi added: “The commencement of SalamAir’s direct flight to Nairobi marks a significant development in bilateral relations. This new air route is expected to enhance trade, tourism, and investment opportunities.”
