Sammy Hagar debuts ‘island’ at Vegas casino resort

Veteran rocker Sammy Hagar hope to hit the right note in Vegas as Sammy’s Island made a splashy debut at Palms Casino Resort.

It is a new tropical oasis concept dreamt up by the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer.

Hagar and bandmates Michael Anthony and Vic Johnson joined the launch party with a selection of his hits for a large crowd.

The Palms Pool has been redesigned as Sammy’s Island as well as the Hager-themed Red Rocker Bungalows

There is Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum at the Tiki Bar along with Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktails and Hagar’s new Red Rocker Lager by Red Rocker Brewing Co..

The Sammy’s Island stage will host a series of live jam performances throughout the summer.

The series includes All-Star Jam: Hosted by SIXWIRE on July 20, headlined by Sugar Ray frontman Mark McGrath and Matt Scanell from Vertical Horizon, along with The Rembrandts and Emerson Hart.

Sammy’s Island at Palms Pool at Palms Casino Resort is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. throughout pool season.

Sammy’s Island will host various themed events each week including Island Vybez on Sundays with live bands and drink specials.
