Sandals Resorts has outlined its resort reopening plans.
It hopes to start welcoming guests from December 6 at Sandals Dunn’s River, Sandals Ochi, Sandals Royal Plantation, Sandals Negril, and Beaches Negril.
EVP of Sales and Industry Relations Gary Sadler told travel advisors in a message that each resort underwent a full safety assessment.
He hinted that some may still open sooner.
“We have made the important decision to set one reopening date for all, to offer a period of rest and recovery for our local team members,” he said.
“They have faced numerous challenges due to Hurricane Melissa, and this will enable our team to focus on themselves and their families.”
Three other resorts: Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Royal Caribbean, and Sandals South Coast require renovations and will reopen in May 2026.
“We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to restore them to the high standards our guests have come to expect,” he wrote.
Additionally, the Montego Bay Call Centre was damaged by hurricane Melissa.
The relocate call centre operations will be relocated ‘at our earliest opportunity to restore full service.’
Jamaica’s Ministry of Tourism announced a December 15 date for a full tourism reopening island-wide.
