A second earthquake has struck the Emilia region of northern Italy, nine days after a devastating tremor that killed seven people and damaged many buildings.
This morning’s quake, which happened at just after 9am, was estimated at 5.8, according to the BBC, and it was felt in Milan and Bologna, where workers were evacuated from office blocks.
Some historic buildings collapsed in areas hit by the larger, magnitude 20 earthquake on May 20, according to the news agency Associated Press.
