Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has unveiled its latest luxury property in China, the Midtown Shangri-La, Hangzhou.
The 417-room new-build is situated in the Kerry Central Complex mixed-use development in Xiacheng district, and marks a return to the city for Shangri-La after making its mainland China debut in Hangzhou more than 30 years ago.
"We couldn’t be more excited to open a second hotel in Hangzhou and extend Shangri-La’s genuine heart-warming hospitality. Shangri-La will continue to play an important role in curating authentic guest experiences to showcase the qualities that make Hangzhou so special," said Shangri-La president and chief executive officer Greg Dogan.
The hotel features specialty restaurants, a bar, lounge and fully equipped heath club with an indoor swimming pool and spa.
In addition there is a Horizon Club Lounge and ten versatile function rooms, including a Grand Ballroom which can accommodate 840 guests for dinner.
To celebrate the latest addition to the Shangri-La portfolio, an introductory offer priced from RMB1,100 is available until May 31, 2016 along with double award points for Shangri-La’s Golden Circle loyalty members.
The group’s global inventory now exceeds 39,000 rooms with additional projects in development planned for mainland China, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Myanmar, Philippines, Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka.
