The Shine Awards ceremony recognising top women in travel takes place today (Thursday).
The shortlist for the awards has been released ahead of the event which takes place at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London.
People 1st, the sector skills council for hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism is this year’s headline sponsor of the awards.
Research from People 1st has shown that while nearly 60% of the hospitality workforce is women, only six per cent are in senior roles.

People 1st has sponsored the event as the awards aims to highlight and celebrate highly successful women in the sector and help other women take their careers to the next level.
