Silver Airways resuming service to Grand Bahama
Florida based airline Silver Airways will resume scheduled flights to Grand Bahama and the Abacos later this week.
Flights to Freeport and Marsh Harbour in the Abacos were grounded since Category 5 Dorian left a trail of destruction in September.
Flights resume on December 19.
"We are thrilled to resume the necessary and much-needed service to two more islands in the Bahamas following Hurricane Dorian," said Silver Airways senior vice president of commercial and finance, Pedro Motta.
Silver will operate Fort Lauderdale to Freeport flights every day except Tuesdays and five a week to Marsh Harbour.
It also hopes to resume service to Treasure Cay in the Abacos in February.
BahamasAir resumed services to Freeport and Marsh Harbour last week.
American Airlines has said it plans to resume its daily Miami flights to Freeport and Marsh Harbour in February.
Dorian destroyed several buildings at Freeport Airport and caused extensive flood damage at Marsh Harbour.
