Silverjet takes off with £799 fare to New York

Start-up all business class airline Silverjet is to offer £799 promotional fares to New York.

The airline is to start flying from Luton on January 25 with the special fares running until March 31, 2007. Silverjet will offer a 30-minute check-in from a private terminal at Luton Airport.

Online bookings have opened for the service which will operate to Newark via the airline’s website http://www.flysilverjet.com/.

Regular return fares start at £999 for the flights on a 100 flat bed-seat Boeing 767.

Silverjet is to acquire two 767s from Thomsonfly for £15.19 million.
