Silversea appoints veteran Mark Conroy as head of Americas office

Silversea has named cruise industry veteran Mark Conroy as head of its Miami based Americas office.
Conroy is a well known figure in the cruise industry serving as president of Regent Seven Sea Cruises for two decades.
"I have known, appreciated and respected Mark for more than twenty years and cannot hide my satisfaction in having him join us," said Silversea’s chairman Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio.
"He is an energetic leader with extensive knowledge of the cruise industry."
A former chairman of CLIA’s executive committee, Conroy also held the post of president at Commodore Cruises and Renaissance Cruises.
Conroy left Regent Seven Seas in 2013 to establish his own consulting firm.
