Singapore allows up to 10 people on group walking tours

Monday, 29 Jul, 2020 0

The Singapore Tourism Board has updated its Covid-19 tourism operation guidelines.

Now guided tours may operate with up to 10 guests, double the previous limit of five.

Five people remains the maximum limit for public gatherings, so guided tours must be split into two sub-groups with no intermingling allowed during the tour.

It is applicable for walking, cycling and kayak tours.

Tour duration may last up to eight hours and use wearable audio systems with headsets to deliver the tour and communicate with guests.

Last week saw the launch of the SingapoRediscovers campaign, which features dozens of packaged incentives to get locals to shop, take a staycation and rediscover their hometown on local tours.

It includes curated walking tours.

The campaign also partners with travel booking platforms Expedia and Klook,

Tour companies and tour guides were permitted to restart operations this month, after each get approval from the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
