Six-figure Regent Seven Seas world cruise almost sold-out

Wednesday, 07 Aug, 2015 0

A price tag of more than $100,000 per cabin hasn’t prevented Regent Seven Seas’ 2017 world cruise from becoming the hottest ticket in the cruise industry.

Announced last month, Regent’s epic 128-day world cruise is close to a sell-out just 24 hours after going on sale.

"This cruise has proven so popular that 70% was booked on the very first day of sales," said Frank Del Rio, CEO of parent Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings during an earnings call.

"This is a testament not only to the allure of the Regent brand, but also to our belief that guests want unique, different, and rich destination experiences."

Fares for the mega cruise begin at $54,999 per person based on double occupancy proving there is a sizable market for money no object luxury.

Some of the largest suites which have butler service, come with a price tag of more than $300,000 per couple.

The 490-passenger all-suite Seven Seas Navigator sets sail from Miami on Jan 5, 2017 calling at more than 60 ports on six continents from the Caribbean to New Zealand, India, the Gulf and Mediterranean.

The fares include a pre-cruise hotel stay, first class flights to Miami, unlimited Internet and beverages on the ship.
