Sixt signs deal with Cosmos and Monarch
German car rental firm Sixt has signed an exclusive provider deal with the Cosmos and Monarch Airlines group.
The arrangement, which also covers charter flight-only operator Avro and standalone accommodation only brand somewhere2stay.com, is from next month.
Cosmos overseas and product director Hugh Morgan said:”Ancillary sales have never been more in focus within our group than they are now and Sixt fits perfectly with our strategy moving forward.
“The company meets every criteria for our businesses from pre-departure sales via our call centres to XML integration, microsites, white labels and post departure sales via our resort staff.
“In addition we will be looking at other ways of growing the partnership to include Monarch and Cosmos becoming flight and accommodation suppliers to the Sixt group of companies.”
Monarch scheduled services managing director Tim Jeans added: “The partnership will be Sixt’s first foray in the UK market, although they are firmly established in the countries to which we fly, and a number of innovative joint marketing activities are planned to support their launch here.”
