South Africa in full force at AIME 2007
Already one of the world’s fastest growing tourism destinations, South African Tourism (SAT) has turned its attention to the booming field of business tourism.
Since launching the Businessunusual brand internationally, South African Tourism has included AIME 2007 as part of its global business tourism trade fair strategy to ensure that it gets a piece of the conference and incentive segment globally.
Featuring on the South African Tourism stand (3817) at AIME 2007 are South African Airways, Rennies Travel DMC, Sandton Convention Centre, ICC Durban, Durban Africa, Cape Town and Western Cape Conventions and Events Bureau and Cape Town International Convention Centre.
In 2007 and beyond, South African Tourism says that South Africa offers a different sense of business tourism, drawing on unique history and cultural traditions which cannot be duplicated. Business groups who travel to South Africa will learn from the true spirit of African leadership and South Africa’s BusinessUnusual encapsulates South Africa’s business tourism strategy.
“Tourism from Australia has grown substantially over the past year with Australia now ranking number six in terms of South African Tourism growth,” said South African Tourism Australasia GM Bangu Masisi, adding “Australians are looking to South Africa as a destination for meetings, conferences and incentives because it is unique.”
“Where else in the world can you emerge from a game drive after viewing the most spectacular animals in their natural habitat to be greeted by warm and friendly Zulus cooking a sumptuous dinner amongst the trees, with each branch lit by its own tiny light.”
