South America based JetSMART joins American’s AAdvantage program
American Airlines has welcomed JetSMART into its AAdvantage travel rewards program.
Customers on JetSMART-operated flights across South America can earn rewards with AAdvantage.
JetSMART customers can join the AAdvantage program when purchasing tickets on JetSMART’s website, enabling them to earn miles on both domestic and international flights operated by JetSMART.
Later this year, AAdvantage members will also be able to redeem miles for JetSMART-operated flights.
“We are excited to welcome JetSMART to the AAdvantage program,” said Scott Chandler, American’s SVP of Revenue Management and Loyalty.
“This is a significant milestone offers customers more low fares and more travel options throughout South America.”
American and JetSMART launched a partnership in 2023 with codeshare itineraries between the US and Chile and recently expanded to flights in Peru and Argentina.
The partnership enables American to strengthen and expand its South American network, providing travel options and ultra-low fares.
“Our customers will now be able to earn miles when they fly on the JetSMART network and connect to American’s global network.,” said Estuardo Ortiz, CEO of JetSMART.
JetSMART Airlines was founded in 2016 and operates domestic operations in Chile, Argentina, Perú and Colombia, and more than 85 routes throughout the region with services to Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay and Uruguay.
It has carried more than 27 million passengers in the region.
