Cruise ship arrivals in South Korea are expected to reach 2.2 million this year, more than doubling last year’s total.
The Korea Tourism Organization said that represents a 112% increase with Chinese cruise tourists making up nearly three-quarters of all cruise ship arrivals.
Cruise arrivals passed the one million mark for the first time at the end of 2015.
The KTO also says cruisers are progressively making up a larger share in the tourism market, now representing about 13% of all foreign tourist arrivals.
