Southwest Airlines flights back in the air after system-wide IT glitch
Southwest Airlines operations are running close to normal again after a system-wide glitch caused it to halt its entire schedules. About 1,400 flights were impacted with the airline fielding a barrage of complaints on social media.
The airline said the error came from a third-party provider relating to weather data for each flight. It was unable to share this mandatory data so issued a system-wide ground stop.
It managed to get planes back in the air late on Monday night.
