Southwest Airlines says it is considering sharing out compensation from Boeing for the grounding of its Max jets with its workers.
In a communication to workers Southwest CEO Gary Kelly said the airline is looking at ways to share the compensation fairly with the workforce.
It is still in negotiations with the plane maker over how much and when it will receive funds.
Southwest is the largest Max customer in the US with 34 Max jets.
It also has more on order.
The months-long grounding has caused thousands of flight cancelations, route suspensions and in some cases, pulling out of airports altogether.
The Max jets were grounded worldwide after two deadly plane crashes within six months.
Boeing said it will cost it at least $4.9 billion in compensation and other expenses, although this is likely to increase as the grounding drags on.
