Pilot fatigue is becoming an issue at Southwest Airlines. The Southwest Airlines Pilots Association says the number of pilots asking to be relieved from duty due to fatigue surged 330% in March.
It is ‘Southwest Airlines’ No.1 safety threat,’ SWAPA said. The airline has been hit by flight cancellations partly due to staff shortages. Unions have blamed unrealistic staff scheduling.
