Southwest rolls out passenger bag tracking feature
Southwest Airlines has introduced a tool giving passengers the ability to track their own baggage.
It joins rivals like American Airlines, Delta and United Airlines which have their own customer bag tracking features.
“Southwest Airlines has introduced the ability for customers to track checked bags throughout their journey—from takeoff to landing,” the airline said.
“Travelers can view the status of their bags at three points throughout the journey via the Southwest website and mobile app,
This is from when bag tags are printed, when bags are loaded onto the plane and when they are unloaded.
The tool lets passengers access their reservation details and then select the ‘track your checked bag’ option.
