Student travel brand STA has inked a deal with Comtec group to use its Travelconnect product across its 45 UK shops.
The deal is the largest single roll out of the product since its market launch at WTM last winter.
STA staff will use the technology to search, cost and book an extensive range of trips and holidays using the Comtec Travelgateway. Travelconnect will provide agents with accurate pricing for traditional package offerings, access to charter flights and low cost carriers, replacing the Dolphin Flight Scanner previously in place, and a variety of display results including list, comparison, and calendar format.
STA Travel product director Ian Swain said: “Travelconnect is simple to use, provides real time pricing and booking and the rich content our customers demand. We are confident that Travelconnect is going to significantly speed up sales, which will only enhance the booking experience for our customers. In addition we expect the tool to help boost turnover, critical in today’s economic environment.”
