Stena Line launches ‘Kids go free’ campaign
Ferry operator Stena Line is offering UK families 1,000,000 free child places on all crossings to Ireland anytime in 2002.
Stena Line are hoping that the offer will boost early bookings through the trade. Wendy Hartley, Stena Line head of sales GB, said: “Early bookings are vital to operators and the trade and the more business we can attract in the first quarter the better it is for the industry as a whole.”
“We hope this offer will bring more people through agents’ doors over the next few months. Stena Line already sells more than 42% of our crossings and holidays through the trade and we’re sure this offer will boost that figure even further.”
Irish Tourist Board general manager UK, John Greene, said: “Ireland is high on people’s list of holiday destinations this year and Stena Line’s 1,000,000 offer is
exceptional news. Irish tourism will benefit greatly.”
The free places are available on any standard single or return booking by car in excess of five nights made before 28 March. There are no restrictions on time, day or month of travel. Families can travel on any Stena Line vessel, including the giant 40 knot HSS fast ferry which cuts normal
crossing times by half.
