Holland America Line announced it was introducing new Northwest-style menu offerings and adding other touches to its romantic Pinnacle Grill.
The move is part of the cruise lines’ $225 million Signature of Excellence initiative.
Pinnacle Grill is an upscale, reservations-only restaurant is now available on Holland American Line’s five-star ships; it combines gourmet cuisine with distinctive Bulgari china, elegant Riedel stemware, WMF flatware and crisp Frette linens.
The cruise line says this attention to detail elevates Pinnacle Grill to a level of elegant sophistication unmatched in the premium cruise category.
“Our guests have always believed that we set the highest standard for fine cuisine in the premium cruising industry,” said David Giersdorf, Holland America’s executive vice president, marketing and sales.
Guests can top-off their meal by choosing from a collection of incredible desserts such as lemon berry angel shortcake with wild berry compote or a creme brulee sampler.
In 2004, Holland America Line’s fleet of 13, five-star, premium ships will offer nearly 500 sailings from 15 North American home ports, including new departures from Norfolk, VA; Baltimore, MD; and Boston, Mass.
Recent additions to the fleet include the 1,848-passenger Vista ships ms Zuiderdam, ms Oosterdam, and ms Westerdam.
The fleet will visit all seven continents in 2004, while increasing cruises to popular areas like Alaska (139 cruises), the Caribbean (191), Europe (58) and Canada/New England (26).
