TAT: Phuket still on track for July reopening
Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Governor Yuthasak Supasorn says Phuket is still on track to reopen to foreign visitors on 1 July. Doubts about the timeline have been expressed due to Thailand’s heaviest Covid wave over the past few weeks.
It has recorded 100,000 Covid-19 cases since the start of April. TAT confirmed there would be no quarantine necessary for international visitors who must stay in Phuket for at least seven nights before travelling elsewhere in the country.
