Understanding the value proposition of travel tech solutions and leveraging big data will be key subjects under discussion at the Caribbean Hospitality Industry Exchange Forum (CHIEF) taking place later this month.
The event kicks off at El Conquistador Resort in Puerto Rico on September 30 and the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) has lined up a number of travel tech experts to share trade tips with delegates.
Executives from tech firms including Google and TravelClick will lead technology sessions at the three-day event.
Ben Dubrow, Export Consultant for Google will present ‘The Nuts and Bolts of Google Analytics,’ which introduces the basics of viewing and analyzing data and how to best use Google Analytics to boost sales.
Other educational sessions include ‘Fishing for Information in a Sea of Data’ presented by Kerry Cannon, managing director of MMGY Global, ‘Gadgets Gizmos and Guests – Best Practices in Hotel Technology’ and ‘Tech Tools to Stay Ahead of the Revenue Game.’
Ting Ting Yan, senior marketing strategist at Google will moderate the discussion ‘The Caribbean thru the Looking Glass,’ which will address challenges and solutions in the region.
The CHIEF conference will also host sessions on environmental sustainability, operations, and sales and marketing.
CHIEF is staged by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) in conjunction with host sponsors Interval International and JetBlue Getaways.
