Tempo Holidays releases ANZAC Day 2008 packages
A tour of the Gallipoli battlefields, ANZAC Day Dawn Service and an opportunity to attend further services at either the Lone Pine Australian Memorial or the Chunuk-Bair New Zealand Memorial are just some of the highlights of Tempo Holidays’ ANZAC Day 2008 packages released this week.
The Dawn Service is also combined with other touring highlights in Turkey in Tempo’s packages, ranging from four to 14 nights, so there is scope for most travellers’ timetables and budgets.
According to Product Manager Jeremy Hearst, all Tempo ANZAC Day packages feature centrally-located accommodation in the heart of Canakkale, the nearest main settlement to the Gallipoli Peninsula which means travellers don’t have to spend many hours travelling by coach to reach the commemorative site before dawn.
All of the itineraries (except the ANZAC Day & Troy- Hostel package) are organised so that travellers get an opportunity to rest in the privacy of their own rooms prior to the late night departure for the Dawn Service.
The Hearst family-owned Tempo Holidays has been organizing ANZAC Day packages for 15 years.
The five-day ANZAC Day and Troy package is priced from $795 and the seven-day ANZAC Day and Ephesus tour (including flight from Izmir to Istanbul) is priced from $1624. For the budget traveller, the four-day ANZAC Day and Troy- Hostel package is priced from $530 per person. All prices are per person twin share.
