Tenerife top for Christmas sun
Tenerife is the top overseas destination for Christmas breaks and winter sun, according to price comparison website www.travelsupermarket.com.
Long haul destinations including India, Florida, Thailand and Australia all feature in the 10 most searched for destinations.
The company claims to have seen the number of searches on its website more than double in the last month.
The top destinations searched for winter sun were:
1. Tenerife

4. Gran Canaria
5. Malaga
6. Lanzarote
7. Orlando
8. Mumbai
9. Sydney
10. Fuerteventura
The top 10 Christmas break destinations were:
