Thai AirAsia has announced plans to link two of Southeast Asia’s leading tourism hotspots.
The budget carrier will launch daily flights between Phuket and Siem Reap, Cambodia from November.
"AirAsia’s intention is to create the most extensive flight network and to open up new opportunities in ASEAN. The Phuket-Siem Reap route perfectly encompasses all of our goals," said Tassapon Bijleveld, chief executive of Thai AirAsia.
To kick off the new route, the airline is touting introductory fares starting from THB1,490 one way, available for purchase until October 2, 2016 for travel between November 7, 2016 and October 28, 2017.
Thai AirAsia currently serves Siem Reap three times daily from its Bangkok hub.
The carrier says it typically gets 85-90% load factor year round and is among AirAsia’s most popular routes in ASEAN.
