THAI cuts commission payments

BANGKOK – Thai Airways will cut its base commission from 7 percent to 5 percent for all tickets issued after January 1.

In a note to agents, the carrier blamed the move on increased distribution and operations costs.

Commission on tickets for domestic travel within Thailand remains at 5 percent, the airline said.
