Thai Smile to fly daily to Cebu

Thai Airways’ subsidiary Thai Smile is launching direct flights to Cebu, Philippines from Bangkok later this year.
Daily Bangkok-Cebu flights will commence in October this year and has been warmly welcomed by the Cebu travel trade.
"It is really good news for all of us who loves to go to Bangkok. Cebu is really opening its doors to the rest of the world thanks to our new airport expansion opening very soon," said Cebu Association of Tour Operators president Edilberto Mendoza Jr.
"For travellers that frequent Bangkok, this is a welcome development. There will be a positive impact on trade opportunities between the two cities," said Melanie Ng, president of Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Thai Smile will deploy 162-seat Airbus A330 aircraft on the route with three morning flights and four afternoon flights a week.
Thai Smile recently took over more short haul routes to secondary cities from parent Thai Airways, including Chongqing in China and Penang, Malaysia.
