The Thailand government will offer the option of a double-entry tourist visa enabling tourists to re-enter Thailand during a single trip.
It will allow travellers to exit and re-enter by land at the Kingdom’s borders with Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia.
According to deputy secretary general to the PM, Kobsak Pootrakul it could be available to apply for online.
There will be a time limit on the new visa but officials haven’t yet disclosed what this will be.
Implementation details are still being ironed out.
To help facilitate this and ease cross-border travel, Thailand will open the Nong Khai and Sadao border crossing points 24 hours a day for the next three months on a trial baseis.
It could be made permanent depending on the numbers.
