The price is right

Monday, 10 Jun, 2004 0

Opodo has launched a service that emails customers when a flight comes up at the right price.

Registered users of the website can request up to five email alerts to be sent to them when a specified flight comes within their price range, or when the price changes. The user inputs the destination, specifying length of stay, month of travel, and how long they wish the alert to remain active.

The service, called Fare Alert, is free and is available on the UK, French and German websites. To register users need to provide an email address, date of birth and contact telephone number.

A spokeswoman said that text alerts were being considered, but not in imminently.
