Third operator in a week collapses

Sunday, 15 Sep, 2008 0

Turkey specialist K&S Travel became the third operator in less than a week to go under when it ceased trading on Saturday.

The failure of the company, which had 150 people away on holiday and 400 forward bookings, came a day after XL Leisure Group went into administration and just three days after Seguro Travel went under.

The Civil Aviation Authority said the K&S holidaymakers overseas will be able to continue their holidays as normal as their flights are covered by a bond.

But those booked to travel will have their holidays cancelled and receive refunds.
