Thistle Hotels has made two senior appointments following the restructure of its UK sales team.

Tracy Halliwell replaces James Lee as director of sales for London, with responsibility for the company’s 23 hotels in the capital. Ms Halliwell previously worked for Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts, most recently as vice president of sales for the western region of the US, based in Los Angeles. Her predecessor Mr Lee becomes director of sales for the provinces.

Meanwhile Luc Genest has been appointed to the newly created position of head of business travel sales. He joins Thistle from Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where he was director of global sales UK & Ireland.
