Thomas Cook and Unite schedule more talks over cabin crew redundancies

Friday, 4 November 20113 min read

Further talks will be held next Wednesday between Thomas Cook and the Unite union over nearly 500 cabin crew redundancies

Talks were held in Manchester yesterday after the cabin crew voted overwhelmingly in a consultative ballot in favour of industrial action.

Unite regional officer Mick Whitley said today: “Further talks will be held next Wednesday and Unite won’t be making any comment until after those consultations have been concluded.”

Unite represents about 1,150 of the 1,800-strong cabin crew workforce.
