TIA New Zealand in search for new boss

Tuesday, 06 Feb, 2014 0

Tourism Industry Association New Zealand CEO Martin Snedden will step down from the role at the end of March

Snedden took over as CEO of TIA in June 2012, following his time as CEO of Rugby New Zealand 2011 Ltd, the company responsible for staging the Rugby World Cup 2011.

During his time at TIA he has led the development of the Tourism 2025 growth framework, which is due to be publicly released in early March.

Snedden, a former New Zealand Test cricketer, said his involvement with New Zealand Cricket had been increasing "and it has become unrealistic for me to carry out both roles effectively".

He is currently a director of both New Zealand Cricket and also Auckland World Master Games 2017.

The search for a new CEO for TIA has begun.
