Titanic new symbol of Branson?

Wednesday, 27 Mar, 2006 0

The Titanic sunk more than a century ago but it new museum featuring the ship is adding new hope that Branson, Missouri can expand its tourist appeal.

Branson is best-known for its elderly audiences with country music roots.

But Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater Complex is also among attractions that opened this year designed to bring in more families.

“Theme parks are also expanding,” says USA Today.

A Bass Pro Shops is due to open later this year, as well as a Hilton Hotel. A second Hilton is planned for 2007.

New malls are also sprouting up with first-rate department stores.

The 100-foot-tall Titanic exhibit opened earlier this year.
