EDITOR’S NOTE
The news that as much as GBP 40 million could be spent on the
advertising campaign to promote Britain overseas will be
welcomed by all sectors of the industry.
http://www.travelmole.com/item/73218
The initial GBP 5 million set aside for the ‘UKOK’ initiative
was rightly seen as too small, and certainly not enough to undo
all the damage caused by months of negative publicity about Foot
and Mouth disease, let alone to counter the downturn in travel
caused by the September 11 attacks. But it seems that, at last,
the true importance of the travel and tourism industry to the
nation’s economy is beginning to be recognised in Government
circles.
Best wishes
Richard Hammond

worth taking some time to have a look around a really good
