Tour bus crashes near Manila, killing four
Four passengers on a tour bus died and at least 30 were injured when the bus slammed into a truck.
The early morning crash happened on the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, north of Manila.
A tour guide and three passengers were pronounced dead a short time later in hospital.
All passengers aboard were were thought to be Filipinos from the same workplace.
The bus, which was described as speeding at the time, was on the way to Baguio City.
Authorities are investigating whether the driver was in fact speeding, or if driver fatigue or a mechanical issue was a factor, said Robin Ignacio, traffic management and safety head.
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board said it would issue a suspension order against bus operator Jumbo Transport pending the investigation.
