Tourico Holidays signs exclusive deal with Hyatt hotels
Wholesale travel brokerage Tourico Holidays has agreed a deal with Hyatt to pre-purchase more than 90,000 room nights at two of Hyatt’s landmark hotels.
Tourico will buy 44,000 room nights at Grand Hyatt New York and an additional 47,000 at Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile.
New York City is Tourico Holidays’ top selling market with 500,000 room nights sold during 2014, accounting for 23% of North America income.
Dermot Quigley, Executive Vice President of Global Product Development for Tourico Holidays says the agreement with both hotels allows agents to secure higher profit margins.
"By partnering with Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile and pre-buying a large quantity of room blocks, we can ensure that our clients have exclusive access to favorable room prices right in the heart of Paris – even during peak season," Quigley said.
Quigley said room nights in Paris have increased by 36% year-over-year so far in 2015 with more than 2,000 rooms sold per day on average.
