One tourist was killed and two others seriously injured when a fast moving landslide slammed in to a tour bus in southeastern China’s Fujian Province.
The bus carrying 21 Taiwanese tourists was struck by the mudslide in heavy rain in a mountainous area near Longyan City.
The vehicle was hit by falling rocks and mud and overturned, the local government said.
The stricken bus was almost buried in a sea of mud and it took rescuers about two hours to free all the occupants via a roof hatch.
The dead passenger was identified as a 50-year-old woman from Chiayi, southern Taiwan.
All other occupants were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
