A bomb blast in a Cairo market has killed a French teenager and injured 20 other people.
The injured include around a dozen French nationals, four Germans and three Egyptians. Six are believed to be in a serious condition.
According to BBC reports, three suspects were detained near the market shortly after the blast, which happened Sunday evening at an open-air hotel cafe packed with tourists.
Police initially believed the bomb was thrown from a balcony, but other reports say it was left under a bench.
The explosion happened in an historic area, near the Hussein mosque and a well-known bazaar.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has reviewed and reissued its advice with an amendment, but the overall level of the advice has not changed.
It said: “There is a high threat from terrorism in Egypt. Security is tight throughout Egypt, especially in resort areas.
“There remains a risk of indiscriminate attacks in places frequented by expatriates and foreign travellers, such as hotels and restaurants.”
