Trafalgar goes live on Longitude reservations system for river cruising
Trafalgar has gone live with a new reservations system for river cruising allowing instant access to inventory and booking confirmations.
The Longitude reservations system will allow Trafalgar’s reservations team to instantly access inventory on each departure of Trafalgar’s 21 river cruising itineraries to see how many cabins and which cabin categories are available – agents will be provided cabin numbers instantly at time of booking.
The system also allows Trafalgar to easily and quickly check how many passengers are currently held on each departure and look at the availability of specific cabin numbers so that agents and clients are able to request special preferences such as the location of their cabin.
Paul Wiseman, managing director of Trafalgar said, “Sales on river cruising are going through the roof this season – it is simply a very popular product, surprisingly so.
“The new Longitude reservations system means that we can assist agents with their river cruising bookings more quickly and efficiently.
“If an agent calls us to make a booking we are now able to give a confirmation and cabin number immediately – we don’t need to wait for overnight responses like other Australian operators.
“Due to the increasing popularity of river cruising world wide and the small size of the ships (they average 130 passengers or 65 cabins) we expect sailings to fill up quickly so we encourage agents to book their clients in early to ensure they get their first choice of departure date and cabin category – lead in cabins and suites are already sold out on some departures.”
Trafalgar’s river cruises program offers a relaxing, hassle free way to explore Europe. Travellers are delivered into the heart of Europe’s most enchanting destinations on an unforgettable journey aboard Trafalgar’s deluxe fleet of intimate vessels.
