The Secretary of State for Transport has admitted the current queuing problems at passport control at Heathrow and other UK airports is "a problem that needs to be fixed".
Justine Greening MP made the comments to members of the travel industry at ABTA’s Travel Matters earlier this week as a damning report was released about staffing problems at UK border controls (see previous story).
The Minister said she believed extra resources introduced recently at Heathrow had led to improvements, but she declined to give details.
