Travel agent jailed for drugs offences
Melbourne travel agent Jordan Dittloff, already facing charges for allegedly defrauding customers at his travel agency ACE Travel in Colac, has been jailed for drugs offences.
Dittloff, 27, was sentenced to six months’ jail for drug dealing after he pleaded guilty to 10 drug-related charges.
He will also be under an 18-month community corrections order and required to undergo drug rehabilitation programmes.
He was caught in an undercover police sting.
The first recorded offence came just a day after being granted bail after formerly being charged with 36 counts of theft for conning travel agency clients out of A$200,000.
Defending lawyer Ian Pugh said in mitigation that Ditloff suffered from ADHD and turned to drug dealing in desperation after the failure of the travel agency business.
