Travellers to Langkawi who test positive for Covid can reschedule trips
Malaysia’s tourism ministry has secured commitments off airlines and hotel operators to honour the rescheduling of flight tickets and accommodation for Langkawi if a traveller tests positive for Covid-19 prior to departure.
The Langkawi tourism bubble kicked off late last week with multiple full flights and high occupancy in hotels. Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said four passengers tested positive for Covid-19 during pre-departure screening.
