The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) is warning travellers heading to EU destinations their current paper vaccine certificates may no longer be valid.
Holidaymakers who downloaded or printed it out before 1 November could face being denied boarding. This is because of a compatibility issue with the QR codes before the UK recently joined the system.
The FCDO has advised travellers to print out a new copy. After a delay of several months, NHS vaccine verification is now compatible across the EU bloc. It is also recognised in several other countries.
