TravelMole to partner British Travel Awards
TravelMole has become a partner to the 2006 British Travel Awards being held in London this autumn.
The event – designed to recognise the best in the UK travel industry with both trade and consumer voting – is being held to coincide with World Travel Market.
This independent awards ceremony has been confirmed for November 9 – the final day of WTM – at the unique Battersea Marquee in Battersea Park.
The British Travel Awards recognise excellence across a broad range of categories, gathering votes from the travelling public as well as professionals in the travel industry.
Some categories can only be voted for by travel agents as only their depth of industry understanding gives them the necessary insight and knowledge.
A number of big name backers have already been confirmed for the British Travel Awards.
Supporters of the 2006 awards include First Choice, Thomas Cook, Triton, Sandals, Reed Travel Exhibitions, Cadogan Holidays, Enjoy England, Embassy Leisure Breaks, Match Day Media TV and Just a Drop.
TravelMole will be providing regular updates on the awards in the run-up to the big night and will run exclusive reports from the ceremony.
Welcoming TravelMole as a supporter of the 2006 British Travel Awards, executive producer Jonathan Hitchens said: “I see TravelMole’s job as that of helping garner travel agent votes as well as giving post-awards analysis and interviews with the winners of these important awards.”
TravelMole managing director Graham McKenzie said: “TravelMole is thrilled to be associated with the UK’s leading travel awards. As online becomes increasingly important within the travel industry, so we continue to grow. With over 54,000 daily readers, we see this as another important step in our development.”
